Whenever I am sitting alone, there are a million thoughts going across my mind, as rightly said, a women's mind can NEVER think about nothing :). And I often think about how life changes. What we were when we were kids, then we changed when we went to school...Again changed a lot when we went to college and after college life changes again...& this time too drastically to be compared to anything we experience till then.
So, I was just thinking about the defining moments that change our lives, and interestingly it occurred to me that the most major changes that we experience in our life happens in just one moment!! Although the preparations for it might be going on for like forever, but there is one single moment that defines the change. You can differentiate yourself before and after that moment.
Like, one second before, she was a lady, the next instant she's a mom.
One second before you say "I do", you are all on your own, no bindings, you are free, and the next instant you are married with lives connected to every decision you make.
One second you are with the person you love the most, and the next instance he's no more. He has closed his eyes forever. The very second when Hiroshima, Nagasaki happened, or when 9/11 or 7/11 or 26/11 happened, the world of thousands of people changed...Forever.
One second just an athlete, the other second world champion.
The one second when Dhoni hit the six, the next moment we were the world champions :).
It's interesting though that for all these turning points of our lives, we prepare for like ages, and the moment itself passes in a whiff. It happens so swiftly, that you are not even able to realize that it has already happened. Makes me really admire the script writer of these stories. He is truly a MASTERPIECE :).
